Our daily life is surrounded by plastics
Plastic is one of the indispensable resources that transforms into various products in our lives. For example, in automotive industry plastic is used for various parts for interior and exterior. In recent years, by using higher-strength plastic, cars and trucks achieved significant weight reduction and improved fuel efficiency. In building industry, plastic is used for hi-airtight insulation, which contributes to the reduction of energy used for air-conditioning. The most familiar ones a wide variety of plastic containers and packaging of foods and medical goods which are utilizing features of plastic. Such usage of plastic items sometimes contributes to ecological environment by saving energy, reducing CO2 emission.
How to recycle plastics
Plastics, which are familiar to us, are recycled as a limited resource even after being used once as a product. Plastic recycling methods can be broadly classified into the next three types: Material recycling is making another plastic product from plastic wastes. Chemical recycling is making plastics into chemical raw materials by decomposing. Thermal recycling recovers the energy by incineration or converting plastics into solid fuel. Maruki Sangyo contributes to the society by producing material recycled plastics.
Going forward with plastics
In recent years, negative influences of plastics to the environment (such as marine plastic) are getting controversial. As plastic products get popular, they brought us convenient lifestyles, but now we are facing problems that some plastic wastes flow into the sea or being left in natural world without proper treatment, which affect natural ecosystem.
